Wedding carriage hire in Dublin

Arrive the way you always pictured it — a white coach and a black Friesian at the church door. We have been working wedding days in Dublin and across Ireland since 1994, and we know exactly how little time there is to spare on the morning.

What comes with the carriage

  • Your choice of the enclosed white coach or the open landau
  • Ribbons and flowers matched to your colours
  • Driver in full livery, top hat and tails
  • Dutch Friesian horses, groomed and plaited for the day
  • Hood and blankets if the weather turns
  • Photographs at the church door before you leave

Two carriages can travel together if the bridal party is large, and we are happy to talk to your photographer beforehand about where to stop and how long we can hold the horses.

However the day is put together

Church to reception

The classic run. We are at the church before you are, and we take the long way round if you want a few minutes on your own.

Hotel to church

Collected from the house or the hotel and brought to the church door, with time built in for photographs at both ends.

The whole day

Some couples keep the carriage for the afternoon — church, photographs at a park or a country house, then on to the reception.

Anywhere in Ireland

Dublin is home, but the horses travel. Weddings the length of the country are no bother with enough notice.

Book early

Saturdays between May and September go a year or more in advance. If you have a date, ring us with it now — even if nothing else about the day is settled yet. There is no deposit to hold a date.

Talk to David about your date

Tell us the date, the church and the reception venue and we will tell you straight away whether we can do it and what it will cost.
